When Rihanna’s collaboration with River Island came out, I was very excited to see what pieces she and her team came up with. As I sat watching the live stream of the show, during London Fashion Week, one item stood out more than any other – the black maxi dress with a thigh-high split. The dress is cut in a simple manner, yet what makes it sexy is the split, and of course, the shape of the woman wearing such a dress.
Although it is sold out by now, Asos have similar styles. In such chilly weather, a dress like this is perfect, worn with strappy heels and a statement clutch. A bold lip color wouldn’t hurt either !
