Growing up, my concept of Los Angeles revolved around Beverly Hills and Bel Air, the latter being influenced by a popular 90s TV show. If you don’t know which show I am talking about, you are either under the age of 10 or have never had internet access until this very moment.
Neatly trimmed hedges and an array of flowers (not to mention palm trees) are what I love about this neighbourhood. It oozes glamour and, of course, money but there’s a huge sense of privacy when you look around you. When we were shooting this floral dress around The Beverly Hills hotel, there was a strange sense of quietness all around us, expect for the cars on the main road. But that’s what I love about Los Angeles over London – the privacy of being behind high gates or walls.
